Community Pathway to Peace Chalk Walk & Mural Reveal

May 01, 11:00 AM – May 01, 03:00 PM

Join The Workroom this Sunday to remember and celebrate the life of two women who helped shaped the Wichita community.

"In 2015, the District lost two great women who were cornerstones to our community. In a refusal to allow this to squash growth and bring us down, we plan to create a celebration of life in honor of them. On April 29 & 30 the Douglas Design District and local artists are installing 15 new murals on Douglas from Hydraulic to Grove.

On Sunday, May 1, following the two days of artists-at-work we are hosting a Mural Reveal and community Pathway to Peace Chalk Walk, in partnership with multiple local charitable organizations. (link to charitable organizations)

Join the celebration! The public is encouraged to create chalk messages of anti-violence and hope on the pavement. The charitable organizations will have information tables along the walk to share their messages with the public, and the ICT Army of Artists will host talking circles to encourage greater social conversations."

There will be food provided and yard games for children (and adults, no one's judging).
