Being a part of the STEM field is exciting, with new ideas and endless opportunities evolving in a constant state of flux. One of the major hurdles of the STEM field, though, is how to bring these ideas to the marketplace with a goal of profit.

That's why Wichita State University offers Shocker Innovation Corps. The university itself is a National Science Foundation, which is why they offer programs such as this.

The program offers Seed Funding, expert mentoring, networking, customer validation training, and much more. Teams must include an Entrepreneurial Lead, a Mentor, and an Academic Lead.

Outcomes of the program range from commercialization to to new start-up businesses to licensing agreements.
